Qui sont-ils ? pour la plupart immigrés italiens venus en France pour reconstruire moults édifices, dont l’église de Gérardmer donc.
Souhaitons qu’à l’occasion de ce 90e anniversaire on puisse enfin leur rendre hommage.
L’oubli est néfaste, surtout à l’heure où l’immigration joue un rôle d’épouvantail. Et pourtant… Il serait bon que la petite bourgeoisie catholique de Gérardmer fasse preuve de reconnaissance envers ces immigrés qui furent tant rejetés entre les années 1930 et les années 1970.
